2016 Annual General Meeting

and Election of Office Bearers for 2016 - 2018

Saturday 18 June 2016, in Camperdown, Victoria

Like any voluntary organisation, this Association depends on the skills, commitment and enthusiasm of its members to make it an effective entity and to achieve its goals.

This note is to encourage you to take an active role in the Association's activities and the achievement of our Vision by nominating for a position on the 2016 - 2018 Committee.

All current Committee positions are up for re-election. While current Committee members may re-nominate, there are several vacancies in the current Committee structure and I would like to see some new faces among our ranks.

While the Association is strongest in Victoria, its founding State, we have increasing numbers of members in other States. Our structure enables people from outside Victoria to be involved, with financial assistance to get to meetings, where appropriate. We need more interstate representation on the Committee. Being a non-Victorian member is no barrier to being part of the Committee.

If you'd like to be on the Committee, feel free to nominate yourself, or contact me to arrange a nomination. My contact details are below.

This year brings up my 12 years as President. Despite this, I encourage anyone to nominate for this role. In some respects, fresh leadership can be a positive thing.

So, do consider joining the Committee in any of the office bearer or general committee member positions that are up for election.
