Join and renew

Being a member means you can:

  • be an advocate for dry stone walls and the craft of walling
  • increase your awareness of the history and natural beauty of dry stone walls
  • understand and appreciate dry stone walling in the context of our indigenous, urban and rural cultures and environments

Being a member can assist you to raise issues about the dry stone walls in your area and make a contribution towards securing the future of walls and walling in Australia.

Our current members come from diverse backgrounds that include: farming, heritage, arts, architecture, planning, mining, professional wallers and interested individuals.

The memberships available are: Corporate, Professional, Individual and Family.

Annual membership fees fall due on 31 May and you will receive a renewal notice.

    For direct deposits, please identify your payment with your surname, or part thereof.
  • Your feedback will assist the Committee and Working Party Groups in devising events to suit you.
    DSWAA uses on our website and in our journal, photos of our members on field trips and other events and we would like your permission to use photos which include you in this way.
    Our newsletters, The Flag Stone and notices to members are sent by email.

OTHER MEMBER BENEFITS

Members receive a copy of our journal, The Flag Stone, three times a year; discounted entry to field trips and social events; and regular eNews. Professional Members who are wallers can apply to be listed on DSWAA’s Waller Directory at no additional cost.

By joining the DSWAA, you will be supporting the preservation and promotion of Australia’s dry stone walls and the craft of walling both within Australia and internationally.

New members are very welcome and are invited to play an active role in the day-to-day running of the DSWAA and or to contribute their time and skills to the organisation of special events and activities.

The DSWAA has a growing library of books, magazines and other printed material about dry stone walls, the craft of walling and other items of interest. Books are available for loan by members. Recent additions to the library will be posted at a later date.
