President and Committee elections
The DSWAA Rules of Association state that Committee members are elected for a term of one year.
At each Annual General Meeting (AGM) the number of Committee members to serve for the next year is determined by a resolution. Elections are held for the position of President and the balance of Committee members. The Patron is an appointee and not subject to an election.
Nominations for the Committee must be received in writing 7 days prior to the AGM. If insufficient nominations are received, nominations may be received at the AGM. Any financial member of the DSWAA can nominate for the position of President and Committee member. Should more nominations be received for President or available Committee positions, an election for those positions will be held.
Immediately following the AGM, the newly elected President and Committee will meet to appoint the office holders (see the nomination form below for expressions of interest). Portfolio Convenors also may be appointed at this time.
