Tell us what you think about workshops

05/08/2016 by murally

The DSWAA is conducting this survey to gauge the level of interest of members of the Association and the general public in attending courses or workshops to learn the techniques of dry stone walling.

While a number of skilled or formally trained wallers conduct courses in various places in Australia, this survey will help the Association arrange courses that are designed to suit the requirements of people wishing to learn the skills of dry stone walling.

As at end Oct 2016, here is what you told us:

Are you interested in:

  • introductory dsw workshops 63%
  • workshops for wallers with some experience 30%
  • formal accredited courses 7%
  • half day workshops 13%
  • one-day workshops 37%
  • weekend courses  50%
  • new dsw  61%
  • repairing existing dsw  18%
  • dry stone sculpture and other structures  21%

Would you travel from the capital city in your state:

  • 1-hour  21%
  • 2-hours  37%
  • 2-hours+  42%
