experience/main projects: More than 25 years experience in the construction of dry stone walls throughout Great Britain, NSW, Victoria and Tasmania for a variety of clients. Instrumental in the design, landscape construction and horticultural development featuring Dry stone walls and dry stone sculptural features at the Australian Botanic Garden and Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney. Developed and conducted more than 120 dry stone walling workshops over the last 20 years

experience, main projects: Emma Knowles is Australia’s only internationally accredited female Dry Stone Waller and Instructor. Originally from Yorkshire, Emma is passionate about the use of dry stone within Australian landscapes, the restoration and maintenance of colonial constructions, and the development of the ancient skills required to build and maintain them.
Emma is knowledgeable about the differing styles and uses of dry stone across Europe, and has had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s best dry stone wallers. Now based in central west NSW, Emma has established Stone of Arc, a thriving dry stone business focused on Design, Construction, Restoration and Training.
